All carbon removal offered through Remove Carbon Today is certified by Puro.earth, one of the world’s leading carbon removal crediting platforms. Our removal partners are independently verified under science-based standards to physically remove CO₂ from the atmosphere and durably store it for 100+ years.

Each removal is issued and retired in the public registry of Puro.earth, providing clear proof that the CO₂ removal is real, traceable, and claimed only once.

The carbon removal you purchase has already been physically removed by certified projects. Your purchase secures the selected amount for you, and we retire the corresponding CO₂ Removal Certificate (CORC) in the public registry of Puro.earth once purchases add up to a full tonne.

Your carbon removal will be retired and completed within one month of purchase, and you receive a confirmation email with a link to the public registry record as soon as it’s done.

Global warming is accelerating due to record-high levels of carbon dioxide already accumulated in the atmosphere. While reducing future emissions is critical, it does not remove the existing excess CO₂ from the air.

Durable carbon removal is necessary because it physically removes the excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and stores it for the long term. This is essential to lower the atmospheric CO₂ levels and sustain long-term climate stability.

There is no single number that fits everyone. A practical way to approach carbon removal is to first measure your footprint, reduce what you reasonably can, and then remove the remaining emissions.

You can start with a smaller amount today, choose an ongoing monthly removal, or remove a larger amount in one go to take responsibility for your remaining emissions. What matters most is choosing an amount that reflects your values and turns intent into real, durable impact.

Remove Carbon Today's price is €0.198 per kg (€198 per tonne), including VAT. It reflects the real cost of certified carbon removal and is based on the price paid for certified CO₂ Removal Certificates (CORCs), reflected in the Nasdaq-Puro CORCCHAR index, the cost of running the service and our operating margin, disclosed in the cost breakdown.

Compared to traditional offsets focused on reduction or avoidance, certified carbon removal (such as biochar) costs more because it funds verified physical removal and durable storage of CO₂ for centuries, which delivers a measurable climate impact now.
