Puro.earth is a crediting platform that sets robust, science-based standards for carbon removal methods. Independent auditors verify that the standards are met, and Puro certifies these companies as their suppliers.
For every metric ton of carbon removed, Puro issues an official CO₂ Removal Certificate (CORC) to the supplier, which guarantees that the carbon dioxide is removed and durably stored, and that the removal is counted only once.
3 - Remove Carbon Today buys CORCs
The suppliers sell the CORCs to corporations who look for verified ways to fulfil their commitments to reach net zero.
We at Remove Carbon Today also purchase CORCs from the suppliers, our partners. And we make them available to individuals worldwide in relevant quantities, so you can remove your unavoidable CO₂ emissions immediately and permanently.
4 - You choose your emissions to remove
Now it's your turn! You may remove the CO₂ emissions from your last flight, your monthly commute or diet, or your annual or lifetime footprint. You choose the amount and set the pace - one time or recurring. Or you can give a removal gift.

5 - Once a full ton is reached, we retire a CORC for you
Every time a full ton of removal has been purchased at our store, we retire one CORC on behalf of the customers at Puro.earth public registry.
When your purchase is part of the full ton sold, you will receive a link to the CORC retirement record at the registry to confirm that your removal has been finalised. This happens within one month of your purchase.

Why carbon removal matters
