I’m Tiia, the founder of Remove Carbon Today.

After working for decades in global marketing and humanitarian leadership and having closely followed both the accelerating impacts of climate change and the emergence of durable carbon removal methods, I saw a clear gap: individuals had no proper way to take responsibility for their personal carbon emissions. I'd wanted to remove my own CO₂ emissions for years but couldn't find a credible option I fully trusted.

So, I built one. I think it's time we start treating our unavoidable CO₂ like any other waste and clean it up properly, as we do with trash and wastewater.

That's why Remove Carbon Today was founded - to close that gap and to provide individuals a quick and easy way to clean their CO₂ waste for good through certified, durable carbon removal with public registry proof within one month of purchase.

Our Vision

Our vision is that individuals take responsibility for their personal CO₂ emissions and remove them at scale, accelerating global efforts to stabilise our climate system and keep global warming below 2°C.

Our aspiration is to enable the removal of 1 million tonnes of CO₂ through our store by the end of 2028, while maintaining strict quality, verification, and transparency standards.

The Problem

Scientific evidence shows that atmospheric CO₂ levels are at record highs and continue to rise. While emission reductions are essential, they do not remove the excess CO₂ already in the atmosphere. Durable carbon removal is therefore required to complement reductions.

At the same time, many individuals want to take responsibility for their remaining emissions, but face a fragmented and confusing landscape. Terms like offsets, reductions, and removals are often used interchangeably, and many offerings rely on future delivery or claims that are difficult to verify.

Until recently, most high-quality, certified carbon removal solutions were designed for corporate buyers, leaving individuals without clear, credible, and verifiable options to act.

Climate science indicates that current mitigation efforts are not yet sufficient on their own to stabilise the climate system.
