Our Vision

Our vision is that individuals worldwide take full responsibility for their own personal carbon footprint and start removing the unavoidable CO₂ waste from the atmosphere, while continuing to reduce what they can.

Our 2030 aspiration is that 1% of people remove 100 kg of CO₂ every month, which equals to 34.8 million tonnes of CO₂ a year, a third of the global 2030 target for durable carbon removal. See the calculation →

Every action counts. When we put our efforts together at global scale, we will make a measurable climate impact to help limit global warming and avoid further disruptions.

Meet Our Founder

It's lovely to e-meet you! 💚

I’m Tiia, the founder of Remove Carbon Today.

After decades in global marketing and humanitarian leadership and having followed the accelerating impacts of climate change and the emergence of engineered carbon removal, I saw a clear gap: individuals had no proper way to address their personal carbon emissions. I'd wanted to remove my own CO₂ emissions for years but couldn't find a credible option I fully trusted.

So, I built one. I think it's time we start treating our unavoidable CO₂ like any other waste and clean it up properly, as we do with our trash and wastewater.

That's why Remove Carbon Today was founded - to close that gap and to provide individuals worldwide a quick and easy way to remove unavoidable CO₂ from the air immediately and permanently with proof.

Our nature has reached its limits and the climate cannot wait. It's time to act.

The Problem

Scientific evidence shows that atmospheric CO₂ levels are at record highs and continue to rise. While emission reductions are essential, they do not remove the excess CO₂ already in the atmosphere. Durable carbon removal is therefore required to complement reductions.

At the same time, many individuals want to take responsibility for their remaining emissions, but face a fragmented and confusing landscape. Terms like offsets, reductions, and removals are often used interchangeably, and many offerings rely on future delivery or claims that are difficult to verify.

Until recently, most high-quality, certified carbon removal solutions were designed for corporate buyers, leaving individuals without clear, credible, and verifiable options to act.

The Solution

Climate science indicates that current mitigation efforts are not yet sufficient on their own to stabilise the climate system. At the same time, durable carbon removal methods, including engineered solutions such as biochar, have matured to the point where certified, ex-post carbon removal is increasingly available at scale.

These methods physically remove CO₂ from the atmosphere and store it durably for 100+ years, with independent verification and public tracking. This represents a shift from future promises toward already completed, measurable, long-term climate impact.

Many individuals are ready to act when credible options exist. Remove Carbon Today was created to make these high-integrity carbon removal solutions accessible to individuals in relevant quantities, with transparent pricing, and with public proof of completion within a month of purchase.
