Planboo video summary of 2024 (0:36)

About the Project

Encroaching bush has spread across millions of hectares in Namibia, reducing biodiversity, straining groundwater reserves, and lowering agricultural yields. Planboo partners with landowners to harvest this excess biomass and convert it into stable carbon stored for over 100 years.

The restored land becomes more productive, while nearby farms benefit from healthier soils and improved water retention. This enables local employment and new income streams in rural communities.

By 2030, the project aims for 329,000 tons of CO₂ removed, 40,000 hectares of savanna restored and 1,590 new jobs created.
