Annual Carbon Removal (10 tonnes)

Remove 10 tonnes of CO₂ every year to address your ongoing emissions, and automate your climate impact. Select the number of units to match your removal, and skip or cancel anytime.

The CO₂ is physically removed from the atmosphere and durably stored for centuries, certified by Puro.earth. You receive public registry proof within one month of each renewal.

Here are some practical examples of what 10 tonnes of CO₂ a year means:

• about 85 hours of flying in economy
• 33,000 km in a petrol or diesel car
• 500 hotel nights
• three years of a meat-heavy diet

The average annual footprint is 7 tonnes across 25 countries in a recent study, but the figure varies by country. Here are the average annual carbon footprints per person in different countries:

• 18 tonnes in the United States
• 13 tonnes in Australia
• 11 tonnes in Canada
• 9 tonnes in the EU and in South Korea
• 8 tonnes in the UK and Germany
• 7 tonnes in France and Japan
• 5.5 tonnes in China and South Africa
• 4 tonnes in Brazil
• 3 tonnes in India and Indonesia
• 1.5 tonnes in Nigeria and Kenya

Examples of matching your annual footprint:

• One person in the EU, 9 tonnes a year: 1 unit, 10 tonnes, €1,980
• One person in the United States, 18 tonnes: 2 units, 20 tonnes, €3,960
• A family of four in Japan, 27 tonnes: 3 units, 30 tonnes, €5,940

The price reflects what durable carbon removal costs: the amount of CO₂ you purchase has already been locked away from the atmosphere for centuries, which costs more than funding projects that aim to reduce future emissions. See what the price is based on →
